This is proof of concept mini-game that I wrote several years ago (2001 ?) in Java. It was summer, I was between jobs and living in Huntington Beach, a perfect OutRun-esque setting ! The demo does some old-school sprite-zooming and OutRun-like "highway" rendering. I also hacked together the "graphics" using Matchbox car models and an ancient digital camera 8)
The original Java demo is also playable on-line at http://v4.kazzuya.com/test/kazrace/ ..however Java is fatter than ever and it might bog down your browser !
